Connecting Rod Machines
MDI has years of experience processing connecting rods. This gives us the capability to provide our customers with the highest quality most cost effective solutions. MDI recently retooled and installed the Dodge dart and GM corvette LT1 connecting rod lines for Federal Mogul Windsor. MDI designs builds and retools multi station connecting rod fracturing machines capable of 5 second cycle time. Fracturing machines (crackers) can include fracture, brush, bolt insertion, run down and final torque wrench stations, bushing press with load cell and linear bushing feed system. MDIs fracturing process offers enhanced cycle times and part quality. MDI designed cracker jaws are specifically built to prevent wear and distortion. MDI also offers machining centers and micro hones with inline gauging.
